Family Camp!

In September we went to Rogers, Arkansas with my college best friends (8 of us) for a weekend of fun at Camp War Eagle. Two friends live there with their families and their husbands work at the camp (actually, they run the place). We had such a fun time! I absolutely love getting together with these girls and am always encouraged by my time with them. Fortunately I get to see a lot of Linde, Lan, and Patricia (and sometimes Bekah) since we all live in Dallas near each other.

It was our second long road trip in two weeks, but both Colton and Sadie did well. We had to stop and feed every 3-31/2 hours, but made sure to stop at places Colton could get out and run around. We stopped at a McDonald's somewhere along the way so I could feed Sadie and Colton could play on the playground. At some point he got the car keys and threw them behind the play equipment - way out of reach! We had to get a broom and finally managed to drag the keys to us. No more playing with keys, lesson learned!

Once we got there we got settled in our room - two pack-n-plays and a full size bed in one room. It was some fun sleeping for the whole family. Its hard to imagine David in a full size bed, let alone sharing it with me!

I didn't take a ton of pictures, but here's a few from our short weekend there. In all, there were 13 kids and 14 adults. Colton and Sadie were the two youngest, but Colton tried his best to keep up with some of the older boys.

Colton ran around a lot with Rachel, just a month older than him

David prepping for the ropes course. Colton was amazed to see his daddy up that high!
Even the big kids did the ropes course.

Colton loved running around everywhere! He and daddy took early morning walks both days (early as in 6:00 since C loves to wake up SO early!)

The entire crew! :) Can't wait to get together again!
