Behind

I'm behind several posts that I've got in my mind. Things have been a little too busy to allow time to sit down on the computer. :)

So, the quick story is:
We've been here in Midland for 33 days.
We sold our house in Dallas in 3 days! 10 showings and 3 offers the first weekend. We never dreamed we'd sell it before leaving Dallas, but we did! Thinking God had a bit part in that one.
We found a house here in Midland and fell in love with it, despite the French Country theme throughout the house.
The relocation company bought our Dallas home.
We asked for an early close date on our new Midland home and we're moving in tomorrow!
So, about a month spent in our little apartment and now we're getting to move into a permanent home - and everyone gets their own room!

Colton walked into his new room today and showed us where he wanted his BRAND NEW bunkbeds and train table. Sadie doesn't have much of an opinion yet on her furniture's placement.

My parents and Bo and Liz are all helping us a ton!

Here's a quick sneak peek at the house (not our furniture). More pics and other posts to follow once we get a few boxes unpacked!

Pretty kitchen
The den, and the bright room behind it is the sunroom. Sunroom = playroom for kids and their toys = unbelievably happy mommy!

Apartment life

We've been in Midland for about a week and a half. Although we try to escape the apartment as often as we can during the day (for playtime at the park, storytime at the library or bookstore, running errands with Lizzy), the kids really love play time here.

They had fun one day in Sadie's pack-n-play. She's been a great little sleeper in the closet. The first couple of nights were rough, but she's been great ever since. We encourage Colton to stay in bed when he wakes up, but every now and then you hear a "hi mama" around 6:00a.m. followed by "get up mama, get up". Maybe one day he'll sleep in.
We like to call him powder. He is one fair skinned boy!
Sadie, the blueberry eater. I love this picture of her! I think she still has blueberry stained hands. She can sit in her seat for 45 minutes just picking up little bits of food and trying to get the tiny morsels into her mouth.
We've found several good parks in Midland. Colton's gotten very opinionated and a few times we've pulled up to a park to play and he'll inform us he doesn't like the park and he wants to go to another one! He has certainly found his voice. We've reminded him a lot lately not to demand things or scream at us. He is every bit a two year old.
Sadie loves getting to hang out in swings!
Daddy and Colton being silly before bedtime.
Sadie, our new crawler. She started crawling our 2nd day here. And she's got this amazing pincher grasp and can pick up the tiniest piece of lint and get it into her mouth. Colton says "no baby, no" a lot these days. He told her she needed to go to timeout tonight after she pulled my hair. So, we put her in timeout and he sat next to her laughing and tickling her!
