Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas (a day late)....
we spent Christmas in Houston with Jenny's family and had a great time. Colton had lots of firsts on this trip and we'll add more details and pictures in the next couple of days.

Growing

We're taking a picture of Colton every month on his 'birthday', the 22nd.  You can see how much he's grown over the past 3 months.  He's shy and doesn't like to look at the camera!  He's certainly rounding out in his third month as you can tell from the picture.
We'll try to post more pics over the next few days to make up for the fact that we haven't posted anything in a while!

Almost 6 weeks old

We haven't updated the blog in a while, so I thought I'd add a few recent pictures of Colton. Between David and I, we take pictures of the little guy ALL the time! He's probably tired of the flash going off in his face. Enjoy the pics of our almost 6 week old and the new slideshow at the bottom of the page!

Waking Up!

Colton is 2 1/2 weeks old and really starting to wake up.  He spent a lot of time sleeping the first couple of weeks (as all new babies do!)...but, I also think he was extra sleepy because he was born 2 1/2 weeks early.  So, now that we've reached his actual due date (Oct. 8th) he's really becoming more alert and showing us his eyes a lot throughout the day (and night!) Check out his bright eyes and some cute sleeping pictures.

We are loving getting to know Colton...he gets held A LOT!  We've had tons of help from family the past couple of weeks (thanks Nana and Lizzy!).  We're already looking forward to your next visit.  :)

Colton Is Here!!!!

Check out the new slide shows at bottom of the blog!!!!

We are so excited that Colton Davis Meek arrived 2 1/2 weeks early on Monday September 22 at 9:57pm. He weighed 7.6 lbs. and was 19 1/4 in. long with a healthy set of lungs and not as much hair as we anticipated. Mom and Colton are doing great. We made it home last Friday, September 26th. Colton sleeps most of the day and parties most of the night. We ask for your continued prayers for our new family.

Psalm 139
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

couch, bed, couch, bed, couch, bed

This is how our last few weeks have been spent since I've been on bed rest - which according to my dr. means bed or couch only!  Notice my neat set-up with the computer right next to me...along with the blood pressure cuff to make sure my BP is staying normal - thankfully it is!

David takes very good care of me in the evenings and the weekends...he's been absolutely WONDERFUL!  He's become a devoted grocery shopper and loves taking care of all household responsibilities.  I may just let him continue taking care of all of these things once I'm off bed rest. :)

We've had lots of fun visitors and friends bringing us meals.  We feel very loved!   I would much rather be on 'bed rest' at home than in the hospital, so I'm trying my best to follow my dr.'s orders, but it's getting harder and harder to stay put....I have so much I want to be up doing!

We see the light at the end of the tunnel though and know it won't be too much longer before our baby boy is here....then I'm sure I won't remember what 'bed REST' felt like.

Finding Colton?

Bo Pa and aunt Lacy are having trouble finding Colton in his last sonogram pic. I outlined his face in the pic on the left. You can scroll down to compare to the original pic in post below. Probably doesn't have that kinda hair right now. You never know!

Colton Davis Meek will be here soon!!!! We have less than a month to go before our due date, October 8th. We cant wait to meet Colton for the first time. This past month has been filled with visits with friends and family, showers, bed rest, good meals and planning for Colton's arrival. Jenny was put on bed rest over a month ago but is doing well. Her blood pressure had been creeping up but has maintained a good level over the past few weeks. Here is a picture of chubby cheeks Colton at 35 1/2 weeks. We get to see pics of him weekly and get updates on how big he is getting (6.1 lbs. on 8/27). We ask that you continue to pray for Colton and our family.
