Vacation!

We took a fun, relaxing, enjoyable, and MUCH NEEDED family vacation to San Antonio the last weekend in August. The best part of it all? Both sets of grandparents joined us! So, David and I had tons of help with the kids and truly enjoyed our vacation! We stayed at a resort near sea world and loved the place.

This was our very favorite spot of all:
The lazy river!

We took tons of pictures and have lots of special memories from our short 3 night stay. Colton was so excited to be at a hotel and kept running up and down the outdoor corridor, waiting for his grandparents to arrive. As soon as we got settled in, we headed down to the water and he found one of his favorite spots, the beach!

Colton has a love/hate relationship with water and is usually overwhelmed in any large (larger than his bathtub) body of water. He eventually warmed up to riding around the lazy river.
Sadie looked so cute in her bathing suit! Looks like her eyes are staying blue.
Sadie's favorite hang out spot was the hammock.

He was happy sharing a float with mommy!

Our cabana had an entrance to the lazy river...BoPa and Lizzy secured the best cabana for us at 7:00a.m.!

David and I loved the two slides at the resort...they were fast and fun! Colton was way to short to ride them with us, but he loved watching us.
Sadie's very first time in a pool.

We had some fun friends, Julie and Travis, staying in a hotel nearby with their little girl. They came over and played for a few hours on Saturday. Colton and Addison are just 20 days apart.

Sea world! Colton watching a shamu show

The funniest part of sea world was Colton seeing this shark character. I just knew the shark would freak him out. Instead he held his fin, touched his teeth, and gave him several hugs. David and I got such a kick out of his unexpected reaction. It was the cutest thing!
All tuckered out after a long morning of sea world-ing.

Such a fun vacation - many thanks to BoPa, Lizzy, Nana, and Pops for joining us. We can't wait to do it again next year.
