4 months old!

Well, time is flying and its hard for us to believe Sadie is already 4 months old (actually 4 1/2 months now)! I'm pretty sure we thought that at 2 months and I'm sure we'll continue to say it each month. :)

Sadie is so much fun. I forgot how much I love the 4 month age. She lets out the sweetest coos and ahhs! And, within the past couple of weeks she's really started giggling at Colton. Which he thinks is just about the best thing ever, so he tries so hard to get her to laugh! Or he hurts her - one of the two. He is such a boy and just doesn't realize how to be tender and gentle with her, but we try, try, try to keep her safe. :)

At 4 months Sadie weighs 15 lbs, 7 oz (75%) and is 25 1/4 inches tall (75%). And, she's gotten her first tooth! Looks like she's an early teether like her brother. One of her bottom teeth popped through two days ago (about 2 weeks behind Colton's first tooth). She handled this first tooth fairly well, but was fussy at times, so we thought there might be some tooth pain going on.

Sadie is so laid back, so fun, and such a dear, sweet gift from God. We love her to pieces and can't imagine our days without her. Colton really loves her too....always wants to hug her, kiss her, and play with her. She really doesn't have a great schedule because she's on the go a lot in the mornings, but usually takes a great afternoon nap when Colton does - praising God for that timing! And, she sleeps great, so seems to be doing just fine without a structured daily routine (for now!).

These days Sadie can:
*Sit up in the bumbo seat
*Bust out of her swaddle blanket
*Sleep on her tummy
*Rolls from tummy to back and back to tummy
*Smiles, laughs, chuckles
*Feeds 6 times a day and is a great little eater
*Loves to stand on her feet on mommy and daddy's laps and look all around
*Loves to grab toys on her play-mat and chew them vigorously (one sure sign she was teething)
*Loves to be where the action is instead of in her room alone
*Is sleeping in her own crib (after almost 4 months next to mommy's side of the bed)
*Has the poutiest look on her face when she gets scared or starts to cry.
*Loves to be held!
*Doesn't like really long road trips and lets out plenty of whimpers and cries to remind you to get her out of her car seat!
