Opening our Christmas morning surprise...

Trying to catch up on a few tardy posts...

Rewind to Christmas morning....it was actually midnight Christmas Eve when David and I opened the card that we'd very patiently 'sat' on for 10 days! We had our sonogram 10 days before Christmas and instead of finding out boy or girl that day we asked the dr. to write it in a card that we brought with us.

A pic from Christmas Eve, we don't know boy or girl at this point!

So, Christmas 'Morning' (or midnight) arrives and we open the card....we decided on Christmas Eve to stay up and open it at midnight so David and I could celebrate the fun news before sharing with others. So, 12:00 hits we open the card and it says we're having a "little sister"...I love the wording now, but it certainly threw us off initially since we were looking to see boy or girl!

David wrote the card and had the dr fill in the blank!

David and I were shocked, excited, tickled, amazed, overjoyed, and thanking God for the blessing of the little girl growing inside. We both were convinced we were having a 2nd boy, so we were SHOCKED to find out a baby girl is on the way!

So, after limited sleep that night we woke up the following morning to share the news with my family in Houston. We'd all spent the night at my sister Heather's house. So, we had Colton come downstairs to see his Nana and Pops with these cute little ballet slippers/ornament. They were also VERY surprised as we'd managed to convince them it was a boy too! :)

We called BoPa and Lizzy and Aunt Lacy to share the news with them and everyone was thrilled to hear a girl is on the way! Colton also showed Aunt Heather the ballet slippers, but I didn't get a picture. She's especially excited since she's been saving all of Hannah's clothes for me!

Our baby girl will arrive at the beginning of May!
