Christmas post

Wow, what a change this Christmas was from last year. It's hard to remember our 3 month old baby, who sat still, loved to be held, and was starting to smile at us...

3 month old Colton, celebrating his 1st Christmas

....and this year....a babbling, running, very active 15 month old!

Before traveling to Houston for Christmas, we spent the weekend at the lake with BoPa and Lizzy. I did a horrible job of taking pictures at the lake, but here's a few of Colton opening gifts from his grandparents. He LOVES his new navy slippers...we wear them all the time, - everywhere we go. I don't actually consider them slippers, more like a great, comfy pair of shoes!

Lots of activity in Houston...Colton and I spent 5 nights there and David joined us half way through the week. Here are pictures and descriptions from our stay in Houston.

Making sugar cookies with cousin Hannah, Nana, and Aunt Heather

He loved playing with Hannah's tunnel and got one for Christmas that he loves crawling in and out of.

Reading books with my Nana

Just hanging out on the floor

Pops and Nana's neighbors go all out with Christmas decorations...we couldn't keep Colton out of front yards...he loved walking up to the yard decor to get a closer look!

Family pic - doesn't Colton look thrilled?

Up too late on Christmas Eve and ready for bed

Nana and Pops got Colton an awesome wagon, with lots of assembly required by Pops.

Ready to go out for his first ride

Checking out his new, awesome Radio Flyer Rocket

He loved tearing paper off of presents and opening boxes. He tried to help 2 1/2 year old Hannah with her gifts, but she didn't really appreciate his helping hand!

My incredible new nap mat ...so comfy and cozy.

Colton's gift from mommy and daddy - aptly named "blue car"...notice the theme here...3 fun presents with wheels...wagon, blue car, rocket. He loves them all.

Lots of roadtrips (he's a fairly good travler, but we've had a couple of long, loud trips the last couple of months), lots of family time, & lots of sleeping in pack-n-plays! Colton definitely seems to love being in his own bed at home, but we are thankful to have family living so close to visit fairly easily.
