We left Dallas in the middle of a snow storm a few weeks ago to head to Midland for the weekend. All together (with a few necessary stops) it took us 9 hours to get to Midland, and only 5 to come back to Dallas on Sunday...we were trying to make up for lost time on the way home!
We arrived in Midland at midnight and all three of us were DONE with being in the car...especially our little guy who truly didn't enjoy being strapped in his carseat for that long. Thanks to pacis, snacks, and our portable dvd player, Colton was semi-satisfied most of the trip.
Colton's first trip to the dentist! Notice the sugary snack in his hand? He's not really there for an appointment, just to visit his BoPa.
BoPa, the dentist, and Colton....we still can't believe this guy had 16 teeth by nine months! And, he's gotten his top 2nd year molars in (by fifteen months),...I don't think the bottom ones have popped through, but its way too dangerous to check, - this boy has one painful bite.
Both mommy and daddy also sat in this chair for dental work - grateful for free dental checks from BoPa!!!
This is the life...lounging while someone else holds your bowl full of strawberries and blueberries - two of Colton's favorite snacks.
Colton hardly sits still for posed pictures, so BoPa got creative for this next shot...
More attempts at posed pictures, this time with sweet Grandma Cohorn, Colton's great-grandmother. She was so patient with him throwing a fit during picture time. We drove to Lamesa to visit Grandma, Uncle Leon, and Aunt Millye.
Midland offered up many yummy eats...David loves heading back out to west Texas to enjoy eating all kinds of food that he can't get in Dallas. I happily joined in all the eating! Bo and Lizzy helped with Colton who was pretty moody during our stay, he definitely loves being in his home environment and perked up the moment we got home! And, it was wonderful to visit with Grandma...she kept remarking about David's height...she just can't believe how tall he is - maybe it'd been too long since our last visit!
